About Me

IMG_1135 (1) I live in Clevedon, a small seaside town in North Somerset, England. My wife Pauline and I share our home with Tilly, our Tibetan Terrier, who keeps us on our toes twenty four seven. Besides my writing, I enjoy putting a paint brush on canvas, but without a sign saying “this way up” you might struggle to know what you were looking at.

I am often asked, where do your ideas come from? How do you start to write a novel? The simple truth is, I don’t usually have a preconceived idea. I may have read a news article, or someone has said something to me that starts me thinking. Either way, I rarely know the outcome of the story beforehand. I guess I’m not your conventional story writer. I don’t very often write plots before I start. I just sit and type whatever comes out of my over active imagination, and then I just go with the flow. I actually consider my writing to be, raw and a little rough around the edges, but I always try to be as original as possible.
