When the Pharaoh of all Egypt passes away unexpectedly in his sleep, his wife suddenly finds herself in complete control. In 2018 a young English archaeologist, Daniel Thompson, accidentally stumbles on a possible tomb entrance high up in the Valley of the Kings. Daniel is in Egypt hoping to secure a job at the new Egyptian museum but, after two interviews, he realises that he has a rival for the position, a beautiful young girl called Hannah Jones. To help the authorities decide who is the best for the job, they send them both on a cruise down the Nile, where they will be assessed by the local guide. Rivalry is fierce, danger strikes, love blossoms and love dies, but does Daniel?
